Terms & Conditions

Last updated: July 2026

These Terms govern your use of KopaHub. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use KopaHub.

1. Who can use KopaHub

KopaHub is built for Nigerian NYSC corps members, verified through Google sign-in during their service year. A limited number of non-corper members (alumni and vendors) may also join, but only through an invite link generated by a KopaHub admin.

2. Accounts

You're responsible for the activity on your account. Information you provide (state, LGA, state code, passing-out date, or — for invited non-corper members — name, home address, and NIN/Voter's Card) must be accurate.

3. Market — buying and selling

KopaHub is a marketplace connecting buyers and sellers directly — KopaHub is not a party to any sale and does not own or inspect items listed. Only verified sellers can post listings. When you pay for an item through KopaHub:

  • Your payment is processed securely through Paystack.
  • Funds are held by KopaHub and are not released to the seller until you confirm you've received the item (or an admin resolves the order manually).
  • A buyer protection fee (currently a flat ₦100 plus 2% of the item price) is added at checkout, shown as "Buyer protection" before you pay — see Section 5 for details.
  • You choose pickup at the seller's stated location, or delivery to your own address for a fee the seller sets — that fee goes entirely to the seller.
  • Confirming receipt when you haven't actually received the item, or in working condition as described, is a violation of these Terms.

4. Skills

Skills listings connect you with a corper offering a service directly. Payment and delivery of the service are arranged between you and them — KopaHub does not process payment for Skills bookings.

5. Fees

Posting a Market listing currently has no fee. This is temporary while KopaHub grows, and may change in the future with reasonable notice.

Completed sales carry a small commission, split between buyer and seller:

  • Buyers pay a flat ₦100 plus 2% of the item price, shown at checkout as "Buyer protection" — this is added on top of the item price and any delivery fee, and covers KopaHub holding your payment securely until you confirm receipt.
  • Sellers have 3% of the item price deducted from their payout, shown as "KopaHub fee." Delivery fees are never commissioned — they go entirely to the seller.

These figures may change with reasonable notice, but never retroactively for orders already paid for.

6. Prohibited conduct

  • Listing stolen, counterfeit, illegal, or unsafe items.
  • Misrepresenting who you are, an item's condition, or a skill's quality.
  • Attempting to pay or get paid outside the app to avoid buyer protection.
  • Harassing, defrauding, or discriminating against other users.

Violating these can result in listing removal, loss of verified status, or account suspension.

7. Disputes and refunds

If an order goes wrong, contact us. Refunds are issued back to the original payment method at KopaHub's discretion when a genuine issue is confirmed.

8. No warranty

KopaHub is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the accuracy of listings, the conduct of other users, or uninterrupted availability of the app.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, KopaHub isn't liable for indirect losses arising from your use of the app or transactions between users.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms as KopaHub grows. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
